Thomas Nocera is, and has always been, the owner of this domain, since first conceiving a completely new kind of lifestyle retirement community, tropical in its theme, and designed to appeal to baby boomers. He is also the composer of the song "Parrothead Village".
Nocera has led a team of world class architects to design a master site plan for a "proof of concept" location in Gulf Shores, Alabama. In 2015, his retirement development was re-branded as Parrotheart Village because "home is where the heart is."
A variation of the song, "Parrothead Village" based on the original theme was created and recorded as part of the re-branding campaign.
